On the occasion of Ramadan month, the Religious Affairs and people's municipality in al-Raqqa started to count the number of needy families in the city to help them this month by preparing Iftar meals and offering them to the families during Ramadan.

After the census that was carried out by the Religious Affairs Foundation and the municipality, the names of 250 families who are in need for assistance were confirmed and a decision was made to distribute 250 Iftars to them daily until the end of Ramadan.

The head of the Religious Affairs Foundation Ali Nayef al-Shuaib said that they had counted the needy families and then the decision was made to distribute the Iftars to those families.
