After al-Raqqa liberation by the Syria's Democracy Forces (SDF), al-Raqqa Civil Council formed and started putting the corner stone to organize the city, and opened the municipalities of the people in the city and these municipalities worked to provide the city with the basic elements of life.

The Water Committee was one of the most required committees to work because water is considered as an important component. From the first day of its establishment, it began to work and deliver water to the city and rehabilitate water networks damaged by the war.

The committee's works has been accomplished by delivering water to 75% of the city so far, while the committee seeks to supply al-Raqqa completely with water during the month of Ramadan.
