Iskendar Alaa: Turkish occupation hands over its areas to regime, only installs bases in region

Iskendar Alaa, the commander of Idlib Revolutionary Brigade, one of the military formations in the Syrian Democratic Forces, said that there is an international conspiracy against the people in Idlib whose leader is the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan who deluded the people that he is helping them and protecting their areas.

Iskendar Alaa made clear in a statement to Hawar news agency about the recent developments regarding the situation in the Syrian governorate of Idlib that the areas used to be controlled by the mercenaries with Turkish support were handed over to the Syrian regime forces on a silver platter as Homs and Eastern Ghouta delivered previously where the demographic change took place.

The commander of Idlib Revolutionary Brigade ruled out that Russia and Turkey would be disagreed on Idlib, and he said that there are agreements held between Turkey and Russia under the table, but in reality there is a pretense of disagreement, and the Turkish occupation does not show the agreements with Russia to the forefront in order to not dismantle the mercenaries, and for the Turkish occupation to remain their supporter.

The Syrian regime forces have made great progress at the expense of Turkey's mercenary gangs in Idlib governorate and Aleppo western countryside, and this is what observers say that it was achieved thanks to a Turkish-Russian deal whereby the region was handed over to the regime.

The Syrian regime forces took control of the entire Aleppo-Damascus international road, and secured the perimeter of Aleppo city after extracting large areas from the mercenary gangs on the western outskirts of the city.

Turkey deludes the mercenaries

Iskendar Alaa said that the Turkish occupation deludes the mercenaries that it is ready to strike the Syrian regime forces present in the region, and this was highlighted when two helicopters of the Syrian regime forces were shot down a few days ago in Idlib by the mercenaries, and against the background of dropping the two aircrafts, the areas were delivered at a faster pace to the Syrian regime forces by the Turkish occupation."

On the Turkish presence, Iskendar explains that Turkey confines itself with establishing military bases in the region and has had no credibility there after it handed over large areas to the regime.

Regarding the American role in the recent developments, Iskendar Alaa believes that America is trying to attract the Turkish occupation to its side because Turkey is considered an ally in NATO, and push Iran and Russia more into the war in Idlib.

He stressed that Turkey, through its president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, supports terrorism in the region by all means, especially the terrorist groups such as ISIS and Jabhet al-Nusra mercenaries in Syria.

At the end of his speech, Iskendar Alaa expressed his thanks for the initiative of the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, to open their doors to receive the displaced from Idlib to the northern and eastern regions of Syria in coordination with the revolutionary factions of the Syrian Democratic Forces. He also considered it a humanitarian initiative aimed at saving the people from war and killing.
