Libyan interim government rejects agreement between Turkey, accord government

The Libyan interim government has stressed its rejection of Turkish intervention in the affairs of Libya, and reiterated its categorical rejection of the agreement signed between the Turkish state and the Accord government, saying it is illegal.

The Libyan government of accord has signed a security agreement with the Turkish state, and claimed the Interior Minister in the government of accord Fathi Bash Agha that the agreement is related to the fight against terrorism and illegal immigration.

In response, the Libyan interim government said in a statement that it categorically rejects the agreement signed by the accord government with the Turkish state.

The government said the agreement was illegal because it needed the approval of parliament.
