According to the Democratic Autonomous Administration’s Organizations Affairs Office in the canton of Kobani, the food and basic stuff aides provided by AVC and Concern organizations have been distributed to more than 300 houses within the neighborhood which houses were damaged in varying degrees due to the flood.
Fast food and other canned food stuff have been distributed to the neighborhood’s residents whose houses have been damaged by the water leak, where at some houses, water reached a height of 200 cm.
Dozens of mattresses, basic materials and detergents have been distributed to 100 houses, while Concern and TEV-DEM continue to distribute other aides to the remaining houses.
The Co-chair of the Organizations Affairs Office in the canton of Kobani, Ismail Ahmad said “A number of organizations have pledged to assist the affected, the office’s administration is ready to deal with all who wish to provide assistance.”
It is noteworthy that the torrential rain the Kobani city and a part of its countryside witnessed on May 13th destroyed many houses and swept away some cars particularly in Botan Garbi neighborhood.
