Turkish local elections in 32 cities ended, vote counting started 

According to the local time in Turkey, the voting time set by the Supreme Electoral Commission in 32 cities ended. The counting process begins at 5 pm local time.

People in Turkey and North Kurdistan have gone to the polls today to vote for the local elections amid a climate of tension and threats.

Today polls opened at 7 am and closed at 4 pm in the eastern provinces while they remained open between 8 am and 5 pm in the west.

Voting procedures have ended and counting of the votes has begun across the country starting from 5 pm Turkey time.

The voters have voted for the mayors of 30 greater municipalities and 51 cities, 922 districts as well as 386 villages in addition to more than 17,000 members for municipal assemblies. They also elected 50,236 muhtars, including 32,046 for neighborhoods and 18,190 for villages, on Sunday.
