Turkish occupation is stirring strife between components of Afrin

Members of the Office of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) in Sheikh Maksoud neighborhood in Aleppo confirmed that main purpose of the Turkish state is to achieve its interests and occupy the Syrian territories and instigate strife among the components. They described the Turkish invasion of Afrin as the systematic occupation of land and properties.

Hawar news agency (ANHA) interviewed with numbers of the Office of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) in Sheikh Maksoud neighborhood in Aleppo talking about the repercussions of the Turkish occupation of Afrin and ongoing policies of demographic change.

Turkey's goal is to stir strife among the components

A member of the Office of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) Ali Mustafa Mohamed pointed out that the policies of the Turkish occupation in Afrin aims to spread strife between the components "The Turkish state seeks through its policies to create chaos in Afrin and stir strife between the components of the region.” Mustafa added “The Turkish state is trying to achieve these goals through demographic change where it practiced murder, rape, kidnapping, looting and theft of civilians' properties, in addition to the displacement of the people and the resettlement of the displaced al-Ghouta.

Mohemmed added, "The Turkish occupation has displaced the indigenous people to achieve its policy. It has no humanitarian goals; it is far from humanity. It speaks of justice in society, but the real policy of Erdogan is to conduct a systematic demographic change to achieve its interests in Syria as it did in al-Bab city, Jarablus, Azaz, and now in Afrin city."

Systematic occupation of land and property

Member of the women's office of the  Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) Najla Hamza said that" We all see the international policies adopted in Syria with regard to the Syrian crisis, from policies of interests, demographic change and forced displacement of the indigenous people; the Turkish invasion of Afrin is a systematic occupation of land and property."

Najla Hamza referred to the practices of Turkey’s gangs in Afrin and denied allegations that Afrin was safe, gangs release orders and loot and sabotage as gains of war ... These practices cannot bring security to Afrin and its people ... Afrin was a safe haven for thousands of displaced people.”

For her part, a member of the Office of Women in the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) Farida Kurdi said “the policies of demographic change will have a negative impact on the general population in the region.”

Kurdi added "The real face of the Turkish state and its real aim of the war has emerged through raising its flags on the Syrian soil, which also confirms Turkey's international support for legitimizing occupation and displacement."
