Al-Jabour Tribe Advisor: No place for those inciting hatred among us

Amid political and security developments in the region, and following the signing of the January 29 agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Interim Syrian Government, Sheikh Akram Al-Mahshoush expressed the support of the Al-Jabour tribe for the agreement. He stressed the importance of this step in preventing bloodshed, promoting civil peace, and countering attempts at incitement and destabilization in the area.

Speaking about recent developments, Al-Mahshoush said: "Syrians in general, and the people of Hasakah in particular, support the recent agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Interim Government, given its great importance at this sensitive stage. This agreement has contributed to stopping the escalation and preventing further bloodshed, and its provisions are currently being applied on the ground."

He added: "Attempts at incitement and destabilization we have witnessed recently have lost significance, especially as the integration process continues according to the agreement signed on the 29th of last month. We reaffirm that these steps serve the interests of local residents and all components of the region."

Al-Mahshoush also welcomed the appointment of Nour al-Din Issa Ahmad as governor of Hasakah, saying: "The governor has already begun his work, and we, as tribal leaders and elders, support any steps that help prevent strife, promote civil peace, and counter hate speech. Hasakah is doing well, and the agreements are proceeding according to plan."

He emphasized that local communities are the ones deciding their region’s future: "Anyone trying to impose themselves on this area, whether from regional powers or self-styled Facebook warriors, should leave us alone. We are committed to our land, and there is no place here for such voices. Serious work has started, and those inciting speeches no longer have any effect."

Sheikh Akram Al-Mahshoush concluded: "The main clause of this agreement remains the cessation of hostilities and the prevention of bloodshed. We hope these steps will positively affect the security and stability of our region and all its communities, allowing institutions to resume their normal roles, serving the people and strengthening stability."
