The statement was delivered by Arab and Kurdish tribes in Çil Agha, part of the Jazira Canton in the Autonomous Administration of NE Syria, during a joint gathering held in front of the city council today. The event included several tribal leaders from the Al-Bu Shaaban tribe, the Zubayd tribe, the Jawala tribe, and the Sharabiyin tribe, along with the Sido and Alika tribes.

The statement was read by Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim Mahmoud, a prominent figure from the Al-Bu Shaaban tribe. He began:

“We, the tribes of Çil Agha and its towns, stemming from our national and social responsibility and our belief in the need to preserve the unity of Syria, its land and its people, are following with deep concern the recent developments unfolding across political, economic, and security levels. The continued political divisions, deteriorating living conditions, and the absence of lasting solutions are worsening the suffering of the Syrian people and threatening the social fabric that has long distinguished Syria throughout history.”

The statement continued: “To protect Syria, its land and people, from policies of division and denial, all components of the region must unite and defend their unity by standing alongside the SDF and the Democratic Autonomous Administration in the face of all rhetoric that calls for division and hatred among the people of one homeland.”

The statement stressed that the SDF is the only guarantor of the unity of the Syrian people and added: “We, as the peoples of this region; Arabs, Kurds, Syriacs, Armenians, and Turkmen, want a democratic Syria. Once again, we affirm our unwavering support for our forces, the SDF, against all policies of denial, hypocrisy, and division, in order to protect our unity and our social fabric.”

The statement concluded by expressing full confidence in the Democratic Autonomous Administration and the SDF as the path to salvation and the achievement of security and stability, affirming continued support for the revolution and honoring the sacrifices of the martyrs.
