1st death of Corona in Qamishlo... AA holds WHO responsible for implications of holding matter

The Health Body of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria said that the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the death of a person with the Corona virus in the National Hospital in Qamishlo which is under the control of the Syrian government on April 2, and held the organization and the Syrian government the responsibility in case the epidemic would spread due to concealing this matter.

On Friday, the Health Body of the Autonomous Administration issued a statement to the public opinion, in which it indicated that the World Health Organization announced the death of a 53-year-old man from al-Hasakah due to his infection with the Corona virus at the National Hospital in Qamishlo city which is related to the Syrian government, noting that the organization said in its report that this person was infected with the disease on March 22 and was admitted to a private hospital, and on March 27, he was transferred to the National Hospital in Qamishlo. The patient's sample was sent to Damascus on March 29, and he died on April 2. Later, it was revealed from the results of the tests that he was infected with the virus.

Accordingly, the Health Body held the World Health Organization responsible for the emergence or spread of Corona in the regions of northern and eastern Syria because it was secretive on this matter and did not inform the competent authorities within the Autonomous Administration although it knows that the Syrian government does not cooperate seriously with the Autonomous Administration to confront this virus, but rather smuggles people who come from Damascus to Qamishlo airport to prevent them from being tested and quarantined.
