3 Pakistani soldiers were killed

The Pakistani army announced on Tuesday that three soldiers were killed and one wounded as a result of shelling from the Indian-controlled area of disputed Kashmir.

The Pakistan Armed Forces Press Office said in a statement that their troops in the Raffalkot area had been subjected to "unjustified" bombardment by the Indian side and added "Three of our brave children have lost their lives in duty."

The statement said that in response to Indian actions, the Pakistani army "effective response", while it was not known whether there were casualties from the Indian side or not.

Tension between India and Pakistan has increased since the Kashmir offensive, which killed 40 Indian policemen on February 14, prompting New Delhi to launch an air strike on a camp in Pakistani Kashmir of the Jaish- Mohammad group that claimed the attack.
