AA congratulates Yazidi community on New Year occasion

The Autonomous Administration of North and East of Syria has congratulated the Yazidi community on the approach of the Yazidi New Year "Red Wednesday", hoping that this occasion will be a means towards greater harmony and unity.

On Tuesday, the Executive Council of Autonomous Administration of North and East of Syria issued a statement to the public opinion, congratulating the Yazidi community on the approach of the Yazidi New Year "Red Wednesday".

The statement said:

"The first Wednesday of April marks the anniversary of the Yazidi New Year according to the timing of the Yazidi community."

The Yazidi New Year's anniversary coincides with the historic achievements of the people of the region and the Yazidi community in building their self-strength and free society. These victories also coincide with the defeat of Daesh terrorist organization in the region by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and the liberation of dozens of Yazidis kidnapped among them women and children.

We in (AA) in North and East of Syria extend our congratulations to the people of the Yazidi community and all the peoples and communities of the region on the occasion of the Yazidi New Year's Day, hoping that these special events will be a means of greater harmony and unity.

In conclusion, we wish peace and security throughout the region and in the areas of the Yazidi community, hoping them success in their (AA) model, guaranteeing their existence and their authentic historical identity in the region and the world.

Happy anniversary for the Yazidi community, all peoples and communities."
