Al-Hasaka Youth: Parties concerned must check on Ocalan's health

The Movement of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth in al-Hasaka city called on the parties concerned to move and approve the request to meet Abdullah Ocalan by his lawyers to verify his health. They confirmed their intention to continue their activities  until Ocalan's health is known.

Events and sit-ins continue in the northeastern cities of Syria concerning the health and safety of the leader, Abdullah Ocalan, after a fire was reported on the island of Emrali, where Ocalan is being held.

In the city of al-Hasaka, the Movement of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth organized a demonstration in this regard, in which hundreds of young people participated.

The demonstration started in front of the Sinalco Roundabout in Tel Hajar neighborhood, and headed towards the sit-in tent in al-Kallasa neighborhood. The demonstrators chanted slogans denouncing the isolation imposed on Ocalan. They also carried torches and pictures of Ocalan.

The demonstrators gathered in front of the sit-in tent, where the administrator of the Movement of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Alan Bekas delivered a speech in which he said: "We condemn the practices of the Turkish state against our leader Abdullah Ocalan. This is not the first time that they have tried to destroy the ideology and philosophy of the leader."

Bekas confirmed that they would continue their activities until the leader is freed: "The leader was imprisoned for demanding freedom for all the peoples of the world, and Turkey fought his ideas based on the approach of the democratic nation and people's brotherhood."

He called on the international community and organizations to do their duty towards the fire attack on the island of Imrali.

Ahin Ali, the member of the Movement of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth said: "Turkey is trying to break our will by imposing sanctions on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, but we will fight until the last time for the liberation of our leader."

She added: "As young people in northeastern Syria, we will continue our activities and sit-ins until we receive information regarding the health of the leader Abdullah Ocalan. We demand approving the meeting of Ocalan by his lawyers to verify his health."

The demonstration ended with slogans denouncing the isolation imposed on Ocalan.
