Al-Musmari: Erdogan heads for escalating, speaking as president of Tripoli

Ahmed al-Masmari, the libyan army spokesperson, said on Wednesday evening that the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is heading towards escalating, and speaks as if he is the president of Tripoli.

"Our fight against terrorism is represented by people and institutions, and there is no peace with terrorism or foreign forces on our soil," he said in a speech posted on his Facebook page.

"Erdogan is interested in escalating the situation in Libya, which is unacceptable on our part," he continued.

"Erdogan is not interested in the Libyan people, but only in gas and the oil," he said.

"Turkey is sending weapons and military equipment to Tripoli, and transporting very dangerous terrorists," he said.

The Libyan army, led by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, announced yesterday a military strike on an arms and ammunition depot in the port of Tripoli, in response to the violation of the truce between the two sides.
