Al-Raqqa Civil Administration announces quarantine in its administrative borders

The Democratic Civil Administration in al-Raqqa issued a circular announcing the start of a 14-day quarantine on the area as a precaution to prevent the outbreak of the Corona epidemic.

The Civil Administration said in the circular issued today in this regard: "In line with the requirements of the public interest, in the interest for the safety of all our people, and based on the decision of the Autonomous Administration for North and East Syria No. 86 issued on 29/07/2020, the following is circulated:

A quarantine is applied in all areas of al-Raqqa Civil Council for a period of 14 days, starting from the date of this circular.

All entrances and exits of the administrative borders of al-Raqqa Civil Council and the entrances and exits of the city are closed, except for emergency cases and commercial movement after taking the necessary preventive measures.

The institutions of al-Raqqa Council remain on the top of their job, while strengthening medical centers in the countryside.

In addition to preventing gatherings of all kinds and forms; "cafes, swimming pools, group prayers, weddings, condolence  tents, and others."

It is worth mentioning that this circular came after the Health Body of the Autonomous Administration for North and East Syria announced yesterday that 3 cases of Corona were detected in al-Raqqa, in addition to 3 cases in Deir ez-Zor and 11 new cases in al-Jazeera, so that the number of cases discovered in northern and eastern Syria until now is 25 infections.
