All generators that feed al-Shahba canton with electricity have stopped, as a result of the suffocating siege imposed by the Damascus government.
The al-Shahba canton and the five Afrin displaced camps scattered in the canton, since late hours last night, are in complete darkness, as a result of the generators stopping working due to their running out of fuel, ANHA correspondent reported.
The Local Administration and Environment Body of Afrin and al-Shahba cantons had earlier standardized the working hours of generators from four hours to two hours only, and warned, during a statement yesterday, that all generators would stop working.
The Economic and Agriculture Body in Afrin and al-Shahba cantons also warned, in a statement on the same day, that the region is heading towards a humanitarian catastrophe as a result of the siege imposed by the Damascus government on the region.
