​​​​​​​Aleppo declares mourning on 2nd anniversary of Afrin occupation

On the second anniversary of the start of the attacks on Afrin canton, the residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods closed shops and markets in declaring of the mourning

On January 20, 2018, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries attacked Afrin district, which caused hundreds of civilians to lose their lives and forcibly displaced thousands.

In solidarity with the people of Afrin, the residents of Sheikh Maksoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods of Aleppo city declared a mourning, as all shops and markets were closed.

The Democratic Society Training and Education Committee also issued a decision to suspend all schools today.

Our agency's correspondent has monitored the suspension of all aspects of life, and the stillness in the streets of Sheikh Maksoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods.
