Americans, Armenians: We support NE Syria resistance

A number of participants in the vigil in front of the White House in Washington expressed their support to the resistance of NE Syria people.

Hundreds of Americans, Kurds, Armenians and Greeks protested in front of the White House in the American capital Washington, condemning the meeting of the American President Donald Trump with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The protests coincided with the meeting held between the American President Donald Trump and the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday in Washington.

On the margins of the protest, a number of participants expressed their rejection of the Turkish occupation of the northern and eastern areas of Syria as the citizen Magen who lives in Washington said, “We are here to stand with the people of northern and eastern Syria who are under the Turkish occupation’s attacks. We also refuse Trump’s meeting with Erdogan.”

While another American citizen said that he supported the people’s resistance in north and east Syria against the Turkish attack.

For his part, the member of the Armenian-American National Committee Aram said, "We stand here with our Kurdish, Chaldean and Assyrian brothers and sisters of northern and eastern Syria, and America must change its position on Erdogan's attacks on areas of northern and eastern Syria."
