Angry reactions over leader's ban decision

The Martyrs' Families Councils in Hasaka canton slams the additional "disciplinary" sanctions on the leader Ocalan, considering it against freedom, peace and democracy, and stressed the need for all free people in the world to condemn what is happening in Imrali.

The people of NE Syria are escalating towards the Turkish authorities' decision to ban leader Abdullah Ocalan from meeting with his family and lawyer for another 6 months, the councils of martyrs' families in Hasaka canton made a statement to the public opinion.

The statement was read in front of the councils of the families of the martyrs, in Tal Tamr district by the co-chair of the Council of the Martyrs' Families in the district of Tal Tamr, Janar Al-Saleh, and in the district of Ad-Darbasiyah by the co-chair of the Council of the Families of the Martyrs in the district of Ad-Darbasiyah Salem Al-Salem, and in the city of Hasaka by the member of the Council in the city of Hasaka Fatima Ali; And in the Serêkaniyê camp, by the member  Amal Sino, in the presence of dozens of families of the martyrs.

The statement of the families of the martyrs in Hasaka canton stated that the Turkish occupation state is trying to break the will of the people of the region through its interference in the affairs of the region and its pressures on the will of the people everywhere, the last of which was on Makhmour camp, coinciding with the end of the Turkish elections and Erdogan's continuation of his repressive policies.

The statement emphasized: "Just as our will triumphed in the mountains of Kurdistan, in Rojava and Şengal, the will of the people will triumph in Makhmour."

The statement indicated: "The repressive practices of the Turkish occupation state come as a continuation of the international conspiracy against the Kurdish people in the person of the leader Abdullah Ocalan since 25 years ago, depriving the leader from of the most basic rights inside prison.”

The statement made it clear that what is happening in Imrali is a flagrant violation of all international covenants and humanitarian laws.

The statement stressed: "The goal of the Turkish occupation state is to paralyze the movement of freedom, break the resistance of our people, and keep the Kurdish people away from the ideology of freedom.

The statement called: "All humanitarian organizations to stop the practices and violations of the Turkish occupation state against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and to stop the fascist Turkish actions from tampering with the fate of peoples."

The families of the martyrs affirmed through their statement: "We are on our covenant with the leader, and we will remain in the squares, and we are all convinced that we have no freedom without the leader's freedom."
