Başûr people commemorate martyr Diyar Gharib on Qandil Mountains

Hundreds of citizens of southern Kurdistan, who came from different cities to Qandil, participated in commemorating the member of the Executive Body of the Kurdistan Communities Union Diyar Gharib, who was martyred on 5 July by Turkish air strikes.

The delegations from the various regions of southern Kurdistan have reached to Qandil in the afternoon hours, and upon arrival at the cemetery of the martyrs in Qandil, memorial ceremonies were held to commemorate the member of the Executive Body of the Kurdistan Communities Union Diyar Gharib at his tomb.

The participants carried pictures of the martyr Diyar Gharib, the symbols and flags of the Kurdistan Workers' Party and the Kurdistan Communities Union. They chanted slogans glorifying the martyrs, condemning the Turkish attacks and their "occupation" plans, and slogans denouncing "betrayal."

The decrees began with standing a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs' lives, and placed floral wreaths on the tomb of martyr Helmut (Diyar Gharib).

In the ceremony, speeches on behalf of the joint presidency of the Executive Body of the Kurdistan Community System, the Kurdistan Workers Party, the Martyr's Families and Kurdistan Society's Freedom Movement, all of which offered condolences to the martyrs and all the Kurdish people.

The ceremonies ended with chanting slogans that glorify martyrs.
