Because she did not wear hijab, arrest warrant issued for her

The first Iranian woman to contest an official boxing bout has canceled plans to return home after an arrest warrant was issued for her in Tehran.

Sadaf Khadem beat a French boxer, Anne Chauvin, in the match, which took place in France on Saturday.

Her representative told that the authorities had issued arrest warrants against her and fight organizer Mahyar Monshipour.

Miss Khadem said that she was accused of violating Iran's compulsory dress code by boxing in a vest and shorts.

Sadaf Khadem is worried she is in trouble for not wearing a hijab at a boxing bout in France.
