Biden appoints a number of members of administration, including Secretary of State

US President-elect Joe Biden announced, Monday, the appointment of a number of members to prominent positions in his administration.

Biden appointed Anthony Blinken as Secretary of State, amid expectations that the next administration would make a turning point in US policy regarding a number of files.

 The US President-elect also chose former US Secretary of State, John Kerry, as a special envoy for climate affairs, while the international community is waiting for the United States to return to the Paris climate agreement after Trump withdrew from it.

 Biden also chose Alessandro Mallorcas as Minister of Homeland Security, and by doing so, he would be the first Latin American to hold the position.
