Civil administration in al-Tabqa condemns the continuation of the Turkish occupation of Afrin in its second year

The Civil Democratic Administration of al- Tabqa region issued a statement: It condemned the crimes of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries in the occupied canton of Afrin for the second year, confirming in its statement that the violations of the Turkish occupation army amount to the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the region's components.

The text of the statement issued by the Democratic Civil Administration of al-Tabqa region through its official accounts on social networking sites: "On this day and the dawn of January 20, 2018, the Turkish President instructed the Turkish armed forces, and the factions affiliated with him with terrorist origins and thinking, to start a military operation under the name "Olive Branch" was a direct occupation of the Syrian area of ​​Afrin, where it carried out a brutal and systematic air attack aimed at genocide and ethnic cleansing.

The statement in its text touches upon the need to prosecute the Turkish occupation state in accordance with the United Nations charters signed on January 12, 1951, which states that genocide is a crime according to the principles of international law, and a violation that is blatant against it, and this is what the Turkish state continues to commit, along with its mercenaries, two years ago against the people of occupied Afrin, after the systematic demographic changes against the indigenous people.

At the end of her statement, the Civil Democratic Administration of al- Tabqa region appealed to all international human rights and humanitarian organizations, especially the United Nations and the International Security Council, to "stop at their responsibilities regarding what is happening, because the Turkish occupation poses a clear and blatant threat to the people of northeastern Syria and their cities, which today fall under domination of The Turkish state, after aggressive operations that carried fascist names, was the city of Tel Abyad and the city of Ras Al-Ain, a victim of this barbarism and fascism.
