Damascus govt troops target ISIS hideouts in eastern Hama

2 Damascus warplanes target ISIS hideouts in Uqayribat desert in eastern Hama countryside.

In the light of Russian preoccupation with the war against Ukraine and a decline in Russian aerial bombardment on the Syrian desert, compared to the period before the start of the Russian war against Ukraine, SOHR has reported that 2 Damascus warplanes target ISIS hideouts in Uqayribat desert in eastern Hama countryside.

Some sources said that the Russian forces withdrew from several military sites affiliated with them in the Badia towards other areas such as Tartous and Latakia, as the withdrawn sites are considered "cold", meaning that they do not witness any military operations, most notably in the Palmyra area and its surroundings in the eastern countryside of Homs, where they were handed over to Damascus government, which in turn handed them over to the Iranian groups to be stationed there under the pretext that “they do not have enough forces to fill these sites,” while there was no confirmed information on whether the Russian withdrawal from the Badia falls under the framework of repositioning in other locations or a total withdrawal, according to SOHR.
