Death toll from Beirut port explosion rises to 171

Today, Tuesday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the Beirut explosion has risen to 171, while the number of missing ranged from 30 to 40 missing.

The Minister of Public Health in the Lebanese caretaker government, Hamad Hassan, said during a meeting with the emergency official at the World Health Organization, Rick Brennan, that about 1500 wounded people need special critical treatment, noting that 120 wounded are still in intensive care.

Earlier, the media office of the Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon announced that the death toll from the Beirut Port explosion reached 158 people and more than 6,000 wounded, indicating that the number of missing reached 21.
