Democratic nation project is way for peacemaking in Middle East

In the midst of the heated debate in the international circles about the demarcation of the Middle East region after the end of the effectiveness of the Sykes-Pico divisional agreement that took place more than a century ago, the importance of Ocalan's theses about the future of the peoples of the region is highlighted.

In conjunction with the anniversary of the international conspiracy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan and amid the continued isolation imposed by the Turkish authorities on him, the talk about the dimensions of this conspiracy, especially with regard to the ideological aspects increases.

The academicians and politicians who have a long history in studying Ocalan's ideologies see that the theory of the democratic nation developed and presented by Ocalan in the face of the domination of capitalist modernity is one of the most important denominators that the participating countries in the conspiracy share, and which turn a blind eye to the isolation imposed on Ocalan and seek for its continuation.

The conspiracy targeted the leader’s ideologies, not his person

The politician Sheikhmos Jumaa who is one of those familiar with Ocalan's books and teaches the approach of the democratic nation in the academies of democratic society pointed out that Ocalan's ideas and social theories, especially the approach of the democratic nation call for peace, justice and fraternity of peoples in the Middle East, and guarantee the unity of ethnic, national, cultural and religious components away from the authority of the state.

He added: "The Turkish state, as well as all the dominant authoritarian capitalist states, do not accept the approach and philosophy of the democratic nation because this philosophy is against authoritarianism and domination, and therefore the victory of this approach means the end of the authoritarian capitalist regimes." Hence, Jumaa sees that the international conspiracy primarily targeted Ocalan's approach and ideas and not his person.

The international agreements divided the Middle East, and the democratic nation approach seeks to unite it again

Among the important points that Jumaa highlighted are the intense debate in the international circles about the demarcation of the Middle East region after the end of the effectiveness of the Sykes-Pico divisional agreement which took place more than a century ago, and at this point, the importance of Ocalan's theses regarding the future of the peoples of the region highlighted.

The academician and politician Sheikhmos Jumaa believes that capitalist policies are based on dividing the region according to the principle of interests and influences without taking into account the interests of peoples as happened in the Sykes-Pico agreement. He added in this regard: "As for the thing that the leader proposes, it is the exact opposite. The leader seeks to remove the political borders and unite the peoples and components of the region away from the authority of the nation-state."

Rojava-NE Syria regions are a sample for peace and peaceful existence

Jumaa pointed to the state of peace, security and co-existence among the components in the regions of Rojava, north and east Syria in light of the democratic nation’s approach that the peoples of the region adhered to.

Jumaa added: "While we see wars and devastation in the rest of the Syrian regions, the regions in which the democratic nation approach has been applied live a state of peace and brotherhood of peoples which confirms the importance of the democratic nation's approach and Ocalan's ideas in achieving peace in Syria and the region."

The Middle East is a blazing fire and the democratic nation is the solution

At the end of his speech, Sheikhmos Jumaa said: The Middle East region has become like a blazing fire as a result of the capitalist interventions and policies around it, as each country strives to reinforce its influence away from the will and interests of the peoples of the region.

He added that the democratic nation’s approach is the only way to achieve the lasting peace in the Middle East.
