Egyptian FM: We are working to meet Lebanon's priorities

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said, "Egypt is working to meet Lebanon's priorities in this ordeal after the bombings that shook Beirut last week."

 his arrival in Beirut on a solidarity visit, the Egyptian Foreign Minister added that Egypt would provide the air bridge for relief and humanitarian aid, and the sea bridge for reconstruction.

Shoukry affirmed that Egypt is intensifying efforts in all fields to stand by the Lebanese people in their crisis, and said: "We have directives to work closely through Egyptian governmental agencies to meet the needs and priorities of Lebanon at the earliest possible opportunity."

After his meeting with President Michel Aoun in Baabda, he declared, "We are ready to stand by the brotherly Lebanese people, and we have confidence in their ability to overcome the crisis and face the challenges posed by the port bombing."

He said, "There are accumulations that have caused a lot of suffering and challenge, and it is imperative to work on the special priorities of the Lebanese people and for reconstruction."
