An EU’s High Representative for Security and Foreign Policy spokesperson, Peter Stano, said, "Brussels is still waiting for real Turkish approaches towards de-escalation in the eastern Mediterranean."
He added, "On this ground, we will see whether we will go to a positive dialogue or to other options."
The Italian news agency AKI quoted Stano as saying that "the coming days will be decisive," referring to the European summit scheduled for December 10 and 11, during which the Union's countries and institutions will evaluate Turkish practices and draw on their basis the features of the next phase of relations between the two parties.
