Farahd Hamo: IS defeating will be exceptional, international event

Farhad Hamo has stressed that the announcement of the defeat of the alleged caliphate of IS mercenaries would be an exceptional international event, indicating that this would be a major supporter of political benefits after the elimination of terrorism.


The statements were delivered by a member of the Presidential Council of the Syria Democratic Council SDC, Farhad Hamo to Hawar news agency (ANHA), commenting on the declaration of the Commander of Al-Jazeera Tempest campaign, saying IS is nearing to defeat in the last pocket of the countryside of Deir-ez-Zor.

Hamo said that Al-Jazeera Tempest campaign had reached its conclusion, IS gangs are being besieged in small geographical area in a few hundred meters in the countryside of Deir-ez-Zor, where the obstacles still exist like protecting civilians who use them as human shields."

Hamo pointed out that Syrian Democratic Forces SDF, which are composed of the various components of the region, have undertaken the task of eradicating terrorism on behalf of the whole world, and since the launch of liberation campaigns from IS grip arriving to Deir-ez-Zor, which is imminent to be eliminated completely.

Farhad Hamo said that the final declaration of the defeat of the alleged caliphate would be an exceptional international event. "In the pages of history, they will say that the Syrians who carried the national democratic project have defeated terrorism that terrorized the entire world," he said.

Hamo noted the challenges still remained, and completed "especially the security ones, which are the cells and the hard-core ideology that they have planted in the region."

Hamo explained that some regional countries are trying to destabilize the region. "The Turkish regime, which does not want the victory of the national democratic forces in Syria, is trying by various means to obstruct our struggle against terrorism."

The member of the Presidential Council of the Syrian Democratic Council Farhad Hamo, at the end of his speech, highlighted the challenges of political entitlement to be activated seriously after the defeat of terrorism, stressing that the declaration of victory will be a key supporter in the face of all these challenges.
