French aircrafts carrier to the Middle East

French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday that his country will send the aircrafts carrier "Charles de Gaulle" and its accompanying combat group to the Middle East to contribute in the fight against ISIS mercenaries.

Macron said the French aircrafts carrier will perform its mission in the region from January to April, as part of support for "Chamal" operations, before deploying them in the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea.

The dispatch of the French aircrafts carrier comes amid the growing tension between Iran and the United States and France's fears that the battle against ISIS mercenaries may have lost momentum in this context.

U.S. President Donald Trump has consistently accused his European partners of not doing enough efforts to fight terrorism.
