The Damascus government announced this evening that it has raised the selling price of flour and bread, which increases the suffering of citizens.

Today, the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in the Damascus government set the selling price of a kilogram of subsidized bread without a bag to the consumer at 75 Syrian pounds, and a bundle of 1,100 grams in a nylon bag at 100 Syrian pounds.

According to a statement, the Ministry also set the selling price of a ton of subsidized flour at 40,000 Syrian pounds.

Prior to that, the government raised the price of gasoline, as the areas of the Damascus government are witnessing a stifling living and economic crisis.
