Gire Spi SDF commander: Turkish Occupation Army aims to disjoint AANES

Member to the Syrian Democratic Forces in Gire Spi/Tal Abyad said that '' the Turkish Occupation Army seeks to occupy vital roads in the Ain Issa periphery and to disjoint the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria''.

Since November 23rd, 2020, the Ain Issa and it's outskirts undergo an aggression by the Turkish Occupation Forces and the affiliated mercenary groups seeking to occupy five villages to the north of the International Aleppo-Hasaka highway known as the M4.

Baz Jinderes, member to the Syrian Democratic Forces in Gire Spi/Tal Abyad, told ANHA that the aim of such an aggression is to occupy strategic villages in the Ain Issa District.

'' it is no longer a matter of occupying a number of villages, there are vital roads link the Jazira Canton to the of the Euphrates and Raqqa to which Ain Issa is a hub. All these roads command these villages. We well know that aim of Turkish Occupation Forces and the dangers they pose, it is a matter of dismembering the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria'', he added.

Since November 2020 up to date, 200 sites have been shelled by the Turkish Occupation Forces and the affiliated mercenary groups as mortars, heavy artillery, tanks and even T-122CNRA rockets all have been used.

Baz noted that their ''fighters put up a stout-hearted resistance in defence of Ain Issa on which the Turkish Occupation Forces and the affiliated mercenary groups retreated time and again as the bodies of these mercenaries are laid on the ground at outskirts of the town, Russia took the role of mediator time and again to retrieve bodies and hand them over to the Turkish Occupation, to which we behaved on humanitarian grounds''.

In the context of the silence preserved by the Russian Forces and the Syrian Government ones deployed to the frontlines in Ain Issa, Baz added that '' Syrian people demands have become more clear that is clarification by Russia of her stance to the crimes committed and occupation of more Syrian territory under the nose of the Syrian Government, our General Command time and again asked Russian Forces to take a firm action to that''.

Early in January, hundreds of the Ain Issa residents protested in front of the Russian military base in the town against the Russian complicity with the shelling carried out by the Turkish Forces calling on both Russian and Syrian Forces to deter Turkish actions.

From it's part, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria called on the guarantor countries to bear their responsibility in ending the Turkish aggression.
