Hashem Mohammed: We resume campaign in coordination with coalition, Iraqi forces

The leader Hashem Mohammed said "Al-Jazeera Tempest "campaign stopped because of the attacks of the Turkish occupation and mercenaries on Afrin led to activation of Islamic State's gangs (IS) in the region again, noting that the resumption of the campaign is in coordination with the International Coalition and the participation of Iraqi forces

Hawar news agency (ANHA) interviewed with the leader of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the leader of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign Hashem Mohammed on the resumption of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign after its pause because of attacks by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries on Afrin.

The leader Hashem Mohammed pointed at the beginning of his speech that Syria is witnessing exchanging and a significant demographic change, adding "Russia and Turkey through their agreements, which was the most prominent agreement on the occupation of Afrin, exchanged Afrin for the emptying of the Eastern al-Ghouta of mercenaries."

Mohammed noted that Turkish occupation launched attack using all kinds of weapons on Afrin city committed genocide against civilians saying "Due to these attacks we stopped al-Jazeera Tempest campaign to join the Resistance of the Age and to prevent attacks of the Turkish occupation army on Afrin."

Muhamad explained that since the campaign stopped, the Islamic State's gangs (IS) revived in the region again and said "(IS) gangs were funded by Turkey, when attacks on Afrin city began, we stopped al-Jazeera Tempest campaign which gave way to Islamic State’s gangs to organize themselves launching several attacks on the points of concentration of our forces."

“We resume the campaign in coordination with the International Coalition and Iraqi forces”

On Tuesday, in a statement, we announced the resumption of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign in the east of the Euphrates, to liberate that region from Islamic State's gangs, and this operation is resumed in coordination with the International Coalition forces."

As for the participation of Iraqi forces in the campaign, Mohammed said, "There are strongholds of Islamic State's gangs (IS) near the Syrian-Iraqi border. Through these strongholds, IS gangs are seeking to launch attacks on Syria and Iraq as well, so we agreed with the Iraqi forces and will participate in the campaign in the border areas."

Hashem Mohammed ended his speech saying "We will defeat IS gangs from the region which is liberated by sacrifices of the martyrs and the valiant resistance shown by our forces, and we will confront anyone who tries to launch any attack on the liberated areas. Defending the lands liberated by blood of martyrs are our priorities."
