The General Council of the Democratic Union party PYD held its first meeting after the party's eighth conference on February 24-25. This is to develop mechanisms and a work plan to complete the conference's decisions.
The co-chair of the Democratic Union Party PYD Aisha Hasso said in a statement to Hawar news agency (ANHA) on the sidelines of the first meeting of the general council of the party: "The eighth conference of the party was held in sensitive circumstances, and discussed many organizational issues, mechanisms of organization of society, as well as structural enhancement the organization within the party, as the congressmen agreed during the conference to add a new body to the organizational structure, which is the discipline body."
"During its first meeting, the council elected members of the party's executive body, as well as members of the joint presidential body," said Aisha Hasso, the co-chair of PYD.
Putting in the mechanisms to complete the party's interim plan
The first meeting of the General Council, according to the co-chair, also included the development of an expanded action plan and mechanisms for the completion of the conference's decisions, "which is about the fact that society is the source of strength, ensuring the response to the benefits of the next phase, embodying the spirit of the conference and the spirit of sacred values and adhering to martyrs' approach."
Seeking national unity without restrictions or conditions
In its final statement, the 8th Conference of the Democratic Union Party PYD stressed its commitment to the efforts to achieve the unity of the Kurdish rank, Aisha Hasso said "In order to be able to resolve the Syrian crisis, we must first resolve the partisan differences and achieve Kurdish national unity, especially after the initiative of the Commander-in-Chief of the SDF, Mazloum Abdi for National Unity, Also, after the positive attitudes of all the parties participating in the Autonomous Administration, and the practical steps that these parties have planned in achieving national unity."
Aisha Hasso referred during her speech to the meeting that brought leaders of the Kurdish National Council with the foreign minister of the Turkish occupation state, and said "This measure does not serve the efforts of the Kurdish national unity, she added "We have to take into consideration what happened in Afrin, Serêkaniyê, and all regions occupied by Turkey and mercenary gangs. Their hostility to the Kurdish people, their efforts to end the existence of the people and change the demographics of the occupied territories."
Therefore, in our final statement, we reiterated the importance of achieving national unity without restrictions or conditions.
The solution is to sit down at the dialogue table either with the regime or with the national opposition
Aisha Hasso also stressed that they are with the principle of political dialogue with all parties to resolve the Syrian crisis, and said in this regard: "The regime must be convinced of the need to change the repressive thinking, and not to return to before 2011."
She said "We always call for dialogue and sitting as Syrians at the table, whether with the regime or with the Syrian national opposition, so that we can develop a national project to defend of the Syrian territories against the occupiers, and put an end to the Turkish project".
Aisha Hasso continued "We have to work on achieving Syrian patriotism, as well as Kurdish national unity, because we are convinced that if we cannot achieve Kurdish unity, we will not be able to resolve the Syrian crisis at its roots".
Aisha Hasso said that the party will work to strengthen the community organization, empower the community and mobilize it to face the "sensitive phase" and responses to the benefits of the stage "our people have proven their presence and efficiency during the "Resistance of the Age", and "Dignity Resistance", and their determination to stay on their land, He defended his existence in accordance with the principle and philosophy of the democratic nation."
