HRE: 7 Turkish soldiers, Turkish-backed jihadists killed in Afrin, Azaz

Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) media center said that HRE targeted soldiers of the Turkish army and Turkish-backed jihadists and as a result at least 7 of them were killed.

HRE's Media Center issued a statement regarding to the operations carried out by HRE in which it said:

"One of our units attacked a base belonging to the terrorists of Ahrar al-Sham in the village of Ebla of Azaz region on June 8. This resulted in clashes between our fighters and the Turkish-backed jihadists and in the clashes a jihadist by the name of Mohammad al-Khatib was killed and 3 jihadists were injured.

On June 9th our forces effectively carried out an operation against a military base of the Turkish army in the village of Meryemine in Shera town. As a result, 2 Turkish soldiers were killed and 5 Turkish soldiers were injured in the attacks carried out by our forces.

On June 9th our forces targeted a base belonging to the Turkish-backed jihadist group by the name of Jabha al-Shamiyya in Velat El Qadi village of Shera town. As a result 4 terrorists of the mentioned group were killed and 3 were also injured.

On June 9th our forces targeted a military vehicle carrying fuel for the Turkish-backed jihadists in Meryemine of Shera town. The vehicle was destroyed by our forces but we were not able to confirm information on casualties.

At least 7 soldiers and Turkish-bakced jihadists were killed and 10 injured by our forces as a result of the mentioned operations in Afrin and Azaz."
