Under the slogan "in the spirit of prison resistance, we will complete the path of victory and liberation", hundreds of women demonstrated today in the area of Tirbe Spiyê, in solidarity with the resistance of hunger strikers demanding the lifting of isolation from the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, and condemnation of international silence on the practices of the Turkish occupation.
Where the protesters met in front of the center of Kongra Star, holding banners reading "In the spirit of resistance to prisons, we will complete the path of victory and liberation," in addition to parliamentarian Laila Guven's photos and her colleague hunger strikers.
The march walked through the Central Market, during which the protesters chanted slogans expressing their solidarity with the resistance of Guven and all the hunger strikers.
After the demonstrations, the administrator at the Kongra Star Nalin Tamo said that they are in solidarity with resistance of the parliamentarian Laila Guven and all hunger strikers. "Their demands are legitimate and the international community must act and end the practices of the Turkish occupation," she said.
The demonstration ended with slogans calling for lifting the isolation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan and slogans that salute women's resistance.
The parliamentarian of the Democratic Peoples' Party in Colemêrg and the co-chair of the Democratic Community Conference, Laila Guven, has been going on a hunger strike for 164 days, demanding through her hunger strike to lift the isolation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.
