"Our security services monitored during the past hours and in light of the preliminary results of the investigation on Sunday night - Monday dangerous criminal groups in Tahrir Square, seeking to create chaos and by beating protesters from the inside and fabricating clashes with the security services that aim to preserve the security of the square and the right of expression peaceful opinion. "

And added, "We reaffirm the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces not to use live bullets with the demonstrators for any reason, and strict directives have been issued in this regard," calling on "the demonstrators to cooperate with us to protect the square and control the elements that are trying to carry out assassinations attributed to the security forces."

The ministry demanded "conscious youth to look with responsibility to the dangerous path that outlawed armed groups are trying to drag the country into to implement their malicious intent."
