The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the Turkish attacks on the sovereignty of Iraq and the protectors of its loopholes would completely harm the historical relations between Iraq and Turkey.
Al-Kaabi strongly denounced the Turkish forces ’persistence in their aggression, the most recent of which was the bombing of a military vehicle belonging to the Iraqi Border Guard in Hewler’s Sayidakan area, which caused the martyrdom of the commander of the Second Brigade, Border Guard of the First District, and the commander of the Third Regiment - Second Brigade and their facilities.
Al-Kaabi called on the government to summon the Turkish ambassador and deliver him a strongly worded protest message, stressing that the repetition of Turkish violations is a flagrant violation of all the principles of the United Nations Charter, international laws and relevant Security Council resolutions, calling on the UN Security Council to intervene urgently to stop the repeated violations and affirm the respect of the principles of good neighborliness.
