Israeli Intelligence Minister visits Sudan

Israeli Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen visited the Sudanese capital Khartoum yesterday, during his visit, he signed memoranda of cooperation in the political and security fields.

The Israeli "Kan" channel reported that Israeli Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen met with Chairman of the Sovereignty Council Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan and Defense Minister Yassin Ibrahim, yesterday, during his visit to Khartoum.

The channel said that the two parties signed a memorandum of understanding in the political and security fields, noting that it was agreed to send a Sudanese government delegation to Israel soon, provided that the delegation would conduct an official visit to Israel in the coming weeks.

In October, Israel and Sudan reached an agreement, with US mediation, to normalize relations.
