Jarablus: Turkish mercenaries impose royalties on pistachio farmers

Local sources reported that Turkey's mercenaries imposed royalties on pistachio farmers in a number of villages in the occupied city of Jarablus.

Local sources confirmed to our correspondent that Turkey's mercenaries imposed on the owners of pistachios royalties to pay under the pretext of guarding them.

According to the information our correspondent obtained, mercenaries have imposed on every village in which pistachio trees is planted, an amount of 1000 USD per month, paid by the owners in each village.

The sources said that the mercenaries had threatened the people of the villages that their crops would be "stolen" unless the mercenaries were allowed to guard the pistachio and pay the royalty to them.
