Kazakh president resigned 

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev announced on Tuesday that he would resign from office and hand power to Senate President Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev until the next presidential election.


"I have taken a decision to end my powers as president," said the outgoing Kazakh president in one of the republic's channels.

"The presidential elections will be held, and President of the Senate Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev will carry out the duties of the President of Kazakhstan until the presidential elections Nazarbayev said.
