Spokesperson of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Kino Gabriel on Sunday has made a written statement on the attacks of Syrian regime and its allies on the points of concentration of their forces in Deir ez-Zor countryside.

The statement said:

"As our Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) preparing to complete al-Jazeera Tempest campaign to liberate the remaining areas of al-Jazeera from the grip of terrorist organization and secure the eastern border of Syria, the Syrian regime army and its militias began targeting our forces in Deir ez-Zor’s countryside along the Euphrates River in order to block the launch of our campaign against terrorism.

From Saturday evening hours until the moment of writing this statement, Syrian regime forces, militias and allies are targeting the concentration of our forces in the contact lines and trying to advance towards the liberated villages, our forces are responding to the sources of fire for self-defense.

We in Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) affirm that we are determined to eradicate terrorism from its roots and to assert our right to self-defense, while we consider this aggression by the regime's forces to be a support for terrorism and an attempt to obstruct the war against terrorism.
