Kobani women: Leyla Guven's demands are ours

Kobani canton's women have condemned the intensive isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan. Women saluted hunger strikers' resistance and appealed to international organizations to lift the isolation on Ocalan.

Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan was arrested on February 15, 1999 by an international conspiracy and has been being detained for more than 20 years in Imrali prison. Since 2015, the Turkish authorities have prevented the meeting with Ocalan. In order to liberate the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, the Kurdish people, especially the women, carry out many activities and events.

Among these events is the hunger strike in Bakur Kurdistan, with pioneer role of MP of Democratic People's Party and the Co-chair of the Democratic Society Conference Leyla Guven, in which dozens of people participated.

The citizen Aida Sheikh Mohammed appealed to the international forces to lift the isolation on Ocalan: "We will always be in the squares until the liberation of the leader. Why do not the states say in turn? What is the guilt of the leader? To know the enemy that we will continue our activities until the liberation of the leader and walk on the path of Leyla and her comrades."

The citizen Amina Daban denounced the isolation imposed on the leader Ocalan and said: "I salute the struggler Leyla Guven's and bless her resistance."

In her turn, Fatima Mohammed explained that Leyla Guven's demands are their demands and said: "We want the leader to come out of prison and live together freely. Our dream is to liberate the leader. We salute Leyla Guven and her comrades and wish them success."
