Libyan army detects Turkish ships in Gulf of Sirte

Today, Saturday, the Libyan National Army confirmed that Turkish warships were monitored in the Gulf of Sirt

Major General Khaled Al-Mahjoub, Director of Moral Guidance in the Libyan National Army, said in statements to Al-Arabiya Network that Turkish warships are located outside the Libyan territorial waters, and are monitored and addressed if necessary.

The Libyan official added: "No evidence has been detected that it is approaching the Oil Crescent, confirming the readiness of the Libyan army and navy to deal with any emergency."

Earlier, Libyan media reported that Turkish warships were detected in the Gulf of Sirte, and that satellites detected 6 marine frigates carrying the Turkish flag off the coast of Libya, at the Sirte Oil Bay.
