The Libyan army announced on Sunday that it shot down a Turkish drone in Tripoli.

The Libyan army announced it shot down a Turkish drone in Ain Zara, while Libyan sources said that 8 soldiers of the Libyan army killed due to a Turkish raid in Tripoli.

The military information division of the Libyan National Army said in a statement that "the army soldiers stationed on the outskirts of the capital on standby, waiting for orders and final instructions to attack the last of the Turkish-Qatari crowd groups," Al Arabiya Net reported.

The Libyan army forces entered earlier, the Yarmouk camp south of Tripoli after violent confrontations with groups belonging to the government of reconciliation.

The Yarmouk camp is considered one of the most important military sites in the region. It was occupied after 2011 by the Thawar Battalion of Tripoli. After that, the Libyan army and Al-Wefaq forces took control of it and then became a semi-isolated area.
