​​​​​​​Manbij administration condemns Turkish attacks and calls on the people to cling to their land

The co-chair of the Legislative Council in the city of Manbij and its countryside, Siham Hammo, condemned the repeated Turkish attacks on the city and its countryside, calling on the people to hold on to their land and not to give way to the occupiers.

The forces of the Manbij Military Council liberated the city of Manbij and its countryside from ISIS/Daesh mercenaries on August 15th, 2016. After the liberation, the Turkish attacks and threats against the city did not stop.

And in the last crime of the Turkish occupation state, two children lost their lives in the bombing of the village of Arab Hassan.

Last Tuesday, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries bombed the village of Arab Hassan, located on the northern side of the city of Manbij, which resulted in the loss of their lives to the child "Mohammed Abdul Latif Al-Hafni (13 years old) and the child Ahmed Fouad Al-Hafni (12 years old).

On this issue, the co-chair of the Legislative Council in the city of Manbij and its countryside, Siham Hammo, said: "We have recently seen an increase in attacks and threats on north and east Syria, and on the city of Manbij in particular, by the Turkish occupation, and the perpetration of crimes against defenseless civilians, in which border village were shelled days ago, causing the martyrdom 2 children and young man who was working in his filed.”

Siham stressed that they, as the administration of Manbij, condemn these attacks carried out by the Turkish state and its continuous statements to launch new attacks on the city of Manbij and Tal Rifaat or any area in north and east Syria.

She added, "The Turkish state declares that it wants to establish a safe area, and everyone knows that the regions of northern and eastern Syria are the most secure and safe regions in Syria, unlike the areas it controls, where security chaos, looting, kidnapping and extortion spread."

The co-chair of the Legislative Council in the city of Manbij and its countryside called on human rights and humanitarian organizations to express a serious stance towards the crimes committed by Turkey, because these actions are a violation of international laws and treaties against humanity.
