Hundreds of people from the southern countryside of al-Raqqa protested today against the practices of the Turkish occupation in Afrin, the latest of which is the division wall, which aims to divide Syria.
Hundreds of residents of the southern countryside (Al-Shamiya line), members of civil institutions, members of the al-Raqqa Civil Council and the Future Syria Party, as well as members of the Women's House and the youth of al-Raqqa participated in the demonstration.
The demonstration was held in front of the People's Assembly in the village of Rtala. The demonstrators chanted slogans calling the Turkish occupation to leave the Syrian territories. The demonstrators carried banners saying "No to the Turkish occupation, not to the new Ottoman occupation."
The event included a number of speeches by the Future Syria Party delivered by member Abdullah al-Shibli and a speech on behalf of the Women's House in the line of Shamia delivered by Khawla Al-Issa and the word of the Councils of the Shamiya delivered by Bashir al-Ali and the word of the Martyrs' Families Foundation by Rodin Mustafa.
"The city of Afrin is part of the Syrian body and we will liberate it as we were liberated from the Ottoman occupation decades ago. We will not allow it to repeat the scenario."
