Mazloum Abdi: We have indirect negotiations with Turkey, ready to solve our problems on condition

The leader of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, revealed that there are indirect negotiations between his forces through intermediaries with the Turkish state. He stressed that they are ready to negotiate and are ready to solve the outstanding problems through negotiations and in peaceful ways, "but on condition." He praised the victories achieved by their forces in cooperation with the region's dignitaries and clans.

The Syrian Clans Forum organized by the Syrian Democratic Council in Ain Issa and under the slogan "Syrian tribes protect the society and safeguard its social contract" continues with speeches by representatives of the Syrian clans and Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, and Syrian Democratic Forces.

After the speech of the Executive co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Elham Ahmed, the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces made a speech in which he praised the victories achieved by SDF in cooperation with the tribes and components of the region. He also addressed the Turkish state and those who questioned the patriotism of SDF.

At the beginning of his speech he welcomed all the attendees and thanked the tribes for their support and standing by SDF, without which victory would not have been achieved.

"Our people are in Manbij, al-Tabqa, al-Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor regions, who welcomed our forces and gave us all the support and stood by us so that we could achieve victory," Abdi said.

He said: "patriotism means love of the homeland and patriotism is not through beautiful words and slogans, national and patriotic love is through the sacrifices and the defense of the homeland, and this is what our forces did."

"At the beginning of the Syrian crisis, the military institutions of the regime did not fulfill their duty to defend these areas, and they failed their people and their people and left them prey to external intervention and the invasion of terrorist factions. This was one of the main reasons for the young Kurds, together with other components, to form the People's Protection Units, rather than those who abandoned them and left them. "

After the establishment of Syrian Democratic Forces, all the national factions present in the region, under the banner of the formed forces, as well as the factions in Homs, Idlib and Hama, and the children of Tal Abyad, Manbij and al-Raqqa and nationalities from other provinces, rushed to join the SDF."

Abdi said during his speech that the blood of 11 thousand martyrs mixed and thousands of the wounded from the youth of the Kurds, Arabs, Turkomans, Syriacs, Assyrian, Circassians and Armenians, in the battles led by SDF and this was the main factor of victory.

The SDF Commander-in-Chief said that the terrorists had come from all over the world and had met in Syria. That is why the international forces have also been in Syria. The presence of international coalition forces in our areas and the presence of Russian forces in other regions have had a positive role in defeating terrorism.

He pointed out that the role of the coalition forces and Russian forces is still required because Afrin, Idlib and Jarablus and al-Bab are occupied, and there is still Daesh in the region, "The presence of international forces in order to protect our people from terrorism is a legitimate presence until all Syrian territory is cleared from terrorism."

"Our forces believe in the unity of the Syrian territory and fight for its unity. We believe in the Syrian-Syrian dialogue to solve the problems of the entire region, but we also affirm that in no way can we return to the pre-2011 period, "We cannot solve the problems in the region through reconciliation or other means; we are ready to dialogue with the Syrian government and the central government to reach a solution to the crisis.

However, it is impossible to reach a democratic Syria without recognizing the constitutional rights of the Kurdish people, and there can be no solution without recognizing the Autonomous Administration that serves the components of the region. The solution can only be achieved through accepting the specialty of the Syrian Democratic Forces and their role in protecting this region in the future. It deserves to be privileged in the future Syria. "

During his speech, he addressed the Turkish state, pointing out that indirect negotiations are being conducted by the Syrian Democratic Forces through intermediaries with Turkey. He stressed that they are ready to negotiate and are ready to resolve outstanding problems through negotiations and in peaceful ways but on condition that they are ready to consider the demands of the Turkish state on the borders. At the same time not to interfere with Syrian affairs and respect for the sovereignty of the Syrian state.

"If the Turkish state wants a political solution, it must return Afrin to its people, without the return of the people of Afrin to their homes and restoring Afrin's normal status, we cannot reach a solution."

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces said, "SDF are before a new stage in our country after victory over terrorism, still there are challenges in the security issues. Daesh mercenaries are threatening our administrations, our institutions and our social figures, and at the same time they are a danger to the peoples of the region as well."

"In this new phase, we have enough time and enough resources to overcome these obstacles and problems just as we have overcome the previous challenges and we have won the favor," he said. "But as we all join forces, we must join forces to win the new phase and overcome the new problems."

At the end of his speech, Abdi called upon all tribes and dignitaries of the region to continue their support for Syrian Democratic Forces in morale, because that is the decisive factor for victory in this new phase. "We also defeated terrorism and defeated Daesh militarily. We will triumph in the next stage and victory will be our ally.

The Syrian Clans Forum continues with speeches delivered by the co-chair of the Autonomous Administration and the elders and dignitaries of the clans who attend the forum.
