Muslim: Kobani massacre's danger continues to threaten world

Anwar Muslim said that those who have Daesh's ideology and committed the massacre of Kobanî continue to pose a danger to the world and called on the international community to avoid that dange

The co- chair of the Executive Council in the Euphrates region, talked during meeting held by Hawar news agency (ANHA) with Anwar Muslim, about the June 25 massacre in Kobani city and the village of Berix Batan in 2015, that resulted in killed 242 civilians and 30 fighters from the People's and Women's Protection Units (YPG, YPJ) and elements of the Internal Security Forces (Asayîş), who fought bravely against Daesh mercenaries.

The following is the text of the interview:

After the historic victory celebrated by the world to defeat Daesh mercenaries in Kobani, Deash entered the city and committed new massacres against its people, who was behind that attack, why Daseh selected this way for launching their attack?

Yes, let's go back to 2015 Daesh mercenaries committed the massacre after 5 months the first battle lost in Syria and Iraq in Kobani, Daesh did not accept the defeat, so committing a massacre in this form to took revenge in order to restore their prestige, not only from the Kurds but from the world that united against terrorism and declared its support for the resistance in Kobani.

Here I can say that the Turkish government also played a role in that massacre, which wanted to take away the joy of victory over a Daesh mercenaries of the Kurdish people. Turkey has contributed directly through its border gate with Kobani, through which Daesh terrorists entered and committed the massacre.

I mentioned that Turkey has a hand in that massacre. Here, it is clear that the Turkish government continues to practice massacres against the Kurds, as happened in the 20th century, but what is interesting here is the international silence about the Turkish violations.

Actually, there are horrible massacres committed directly by the Turkish government against the Kurds and indirect massacres by supporting extremist groups. There are documents and videos documenting the Turkish government's involvement in supporting of Daesh. We have repeatedly called on the international community to determine its position on these Turkish violations and to begin to hold Turkey accountable in issues related to the destruction of cities and the killing of civilians and the support of terrorism, that caused in the killing thousands of Kurds and Syrians.

The international human rights organizations should know these things well. Those supported by Turkey and who are existed in Idlib today are an integral part of the Daesh organization, which depends on beheading and the burning of human beings and therefore they pose a danger not only to the Kurds but also to the Syrian people and even the Turkish people, where Daesh is still having wide powers within Turkey, here comes the role of the international community to hold accountable the symbols of the Turkish regime on it.

Let 's go back to the massacre of Kobani, what did Daesh aim only to kill the civilians, or were there other schemes sought?

The aim of the massacre was first to instill fear among the citizens of Kobani. This was adopted by Daesh as a tactic to control dozens of cities in Syria and Iraq. Daseh killed 242 civilians during the massacre, but the main goal was to control the city through the groups that were spread, this is what did not happen, as our people bravely resisted and our military units were able to eliminate of Daesh mercenaries in Kobani in full.

In 2015 we issued a decree guaranteeing (AA)of a part of the responsibility. This is what we do not deny. Daesh was defeated on January 27 of that year and left the city, but resisted in the villages of the southern canton, where Deash controlled the town of Sreen, and Turkey supported Daesh almost daily with military equipment and weapons through Manbij city.

In the context of the Kurdish issue to what extent affected the massacre and before the battle of Kobani in the unity of a Kurdish people, especially after decades of the Kurds suffered from the division that benefited the enemies of the Kurdish people?

Unfortunately, one of the main causes of our suffering as a Kurdish people are the divisions we are living in. Our enemies have exploited that, we remember the massacres of al-Anfal, the massacre of Halabja and other massacres. The enemy has benefited from our disputes and divisions, and we have not been able to establish a unified position on these massacres.

There have always been calls to hold a national conference and establish the unity of the Kurdish row, with the victory of the Kurds in Kobani and Şengal before the ethnic cleansing, and hopes of the Kurds have been revived once again in the unification the feelings of the Kurdish people against the political storms and humanitarian disasters experienced by the region.

Especially after the massacre of Kobani, where all Kurds realized that they were targeted without any discrimination, to some extent gave the massacre a message to the Kurds that they must unite to build a joint decision and strict, and this is what has been achieved part of it, and we continue to call for a national conference unites the Kurds under the demands of serving our people in Kurdistan even in the countries where they live.

In light of the return of Daesh activity to the scene again, especially in the Syrian Badia and Idlib, and the fullness of prisons of SDF of those who are the holders of that mentality that killed and displaced tens of thousands of Syrians and Iraqis, what is your message to the international community to avoid other massacres such as the massacres of Kobani and the Shuaitte tribe in Deir-ez-Zor?

It was obvious that Daesh will not end this easily, Daseh militarily has finished, but their ideology still remains, in the nearly 70 thousand families of mercenaries are being held in detention centers by Syrian Democratic forces (SDF) and they insist on terrorism, thousands of those who adopted the ideology of Daesh are spread in Europe and Syria, in particular in Idlib, Afrin and Azaz.

It is therefore necessary for the international community to assist in dealing with these groups in the camps, especially those who have stained their hands with the blood of the Syrian people, committed massacres against them and tried them in countries where they have spread the corruption. According to international law, the trail must be in Syria.

Your last word?

We know that our people suffered a lot. We know that there are children without parents and families who have lost their young children. It is not easy when we talk about a massacre committed against innocent civilians, but to avoid such massacres again we made a promise to protect our people and protect our blessed revolution. We hold hands in support of the democratic nation project and building a democratic Syria for all components.
