On Wednesday, a group of mercenaries from different "Arab and foreign" nationalities surrendered to SDF in al-Bagouz village.

After SDF tightened their grip on the remaining IS mercenaries in the last area of their presence in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor a number of IS mercenaries surrenders to SDF every day, while the latter opens safe roads to liberate the remaining civilians in almost daily in IS areas.

In parallel with the displacement of a number of civilians who fled the areas of al-Bagouz al-Fawqani, where the remaining mercenaries are still besieged, dozens of mercenaries of different, Iraqi and other Arab countries nationalities, surrendered yesterday to SDF.

We did not get enough information from the commanders of SDF about the number and nationality in detail.

According to a commander, these mercenaries carry documents proving their adherence to IS, and they had equipment used by them in the fighting.

The village of al-Bagouz al-Fawqani has witnessed so far strong clashes between mercenaries and the Syrian Democratic Forces, in conjunction with the use of civilians and remaining families as human shields to impede the progress of fighters in the last spot of the village.
